If you haven't found enough reasons to make sure you are prepared and have put your faith in the govt to help you in case of disaster...
"The economic crisis has changed the story," said Jeffrey Levi, PhD, executive director of the Trust for America's Health. "The Great Recession is taking its toll on emergency preparedness." www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2012/01/02/hlsb0104.htm Has the economy influenced how your prepare? If so how? |

If anything, the state of the economy has accelerated my preparation process. If you buy non disposables that last for years you'll save money due to future inflation.
As for the govt... There's no way the govt could ever have the resources needed for a major disaster...IE Katrina. I think most people here have already accepted that they can't count on the govt. to help them in case of a major disaster. |

The economy's decline was what precipitated my getting interested in all this stuff. The more I dig, the more I find to convince me that all these issues are coming to a head soon.
