Which type of survival knife is right for your situation?

In any survival situation, or even in many everyday situations, a great knife is worth more than it's weight in gold, it might be worth your life. That is why making sure you have the right knife for the right situation is important.  There are a thousand different knives so we will stick to the basics.  Below are the three types of knives and what we think we think they are best for.

I purchased the Stramlight TLR-1 and have been extremely pleased with the light. The TLR-1 mounted easily to my Glock and is very user friendly. It has two on positions, one that is toggled on with pressure and another that stays on when actuated. I have only mounted it to my Glock, but the TLR-1 came with several adapters and I am sure it is compatible with most hand guns with any type of rail system.

Securing access to good tasting, sparkling, wholesome drinking water can be harder than you might expect. Water is often laced with chlorine, lead, high levels of harmful bacteria, and other unwanted chemicals and contaminants. Frequently these produce unpleasant tastes and odors. Even bottled water can contain these same contaminants, and moreover it is very expensive. Other filtration systems are inferior. Most do not remove pathogenic bacteria and many remove the beneficial minerals that your body needs.
