Knife depot offers a huge selection of knives at today's best prices. I've only ordered three types so I can only comment on three but the three I like are popular and can handle just about every type of situation you will encounter.

My favorite all around are the Spyderco Knives.  The are not only razor sharp out of the box but really well priced. Mine held it's edge really well even after some cardboard work and some additional rope work during a weekend of camping. It sharpened really easy, after a few minutes of stropping, it was just as good as new. I have the G-10. The Spyderco knife is comfortable, and easy to hold even with wet or clammy palms. This knife is ambidextrous but was designed for the right hand. It has a slight groove for the thumb for opening and closing. The carry clip was a slightly stiff when I ordered it, but it works perfect now.  It is super easy to deploy and clicks when fully deployed so there isn't any confusion.  The entire grip and design of the knife fits well and I have large hands. I love the larger "belly" of the knife which makes cutting a lot more comfortable. It's light, at around 4.0oz. At this price it's easy to carry and not worry about using and abusing.  It can take it!

I have a Boker knife too and I have really enjoyed using it.  These knives have been made by Germans since 1869 and each one seems unique.  Each one has it's own number and these things are STRONG and really well made.  I have the huge Boker Bowie knife that I think if i needed to could take down just about any living animal.  This blade is huge and at this price is REALLY well made.  It 440 Cc steel so it's not going to rust on you unless you decide to abuse it and store it in water.  The handle fit perfectly into my hands and I have really big hands.  There are grooves for individual finger so your grip should never be comprimised. Boker knives are know for their durability at exceeding the value of their price and their bowie knife doesn't disappoint.

Gerber knives make just about every type of knife you could want.  They have pocket knives, bowie knifes, flip knives, fixed blade knives, machetes, axes and even scissors if it cuts, Gerber makes it.  Their carbon blades make sure that the knives hold up while keeping the weight down.  I actually have more than one Gerber knife and one of their axes.  I got one their axes as a birthday gift and it has been one of my favorite camping tools.  The thing has taken so much abuse, it's light and best they make blades that are easy to sharpen whether with a proper sharpening tool or by stropping the blade. I also use one of their filet knifes in my tackle box.  This thing is sharp!  It's perfectly shaped and super easy to sharpen.  I've only had it for three years and so far no problems at all.
